Community Violence Intervention
The Foundation partners with organizations that work to foster and support healthy communities, with a focus on ending gun violence. Everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy community, but guns and structural violence are all too common, especially in communities of color. The Foundation supports projects to reduce gun deaths with a particular focus on urban gun violence prevention and supporting the leadership development of men and boys of color. We recognize that gun violence prevention solutions are inherently local, and support organizations with national networks that can identify and work with local governments, non-profits, and residents to tailor solutions and implement policies to help community members feel safe.
